Today, at 4:02PM EST, is officially the autumn equinox, so I've made a little homage to all the things that feel reminiscent of summer (because I think we're all still in denial that rose season is ending).

You can scoop up bite after bite (maybe even once it's the middle of winter!) to taste the things you love about those balmy months behind us - the memories you made and the light, everlasting whimsy of the season. 


WHAT'S IT TASTE LIKE?

SUCCULENTLY SWEET.

TART. 

REFRESHING, YET INDULGENT.

 TEXTURAL. 


SUPER INGREDIENTS: 

 

COCONUT BUTTER: 

This bottle of deliciousness, is a bandwagon I have been slow to hop on. Coconut oil, has - remarkably been - an ingredient that my palette just isn't totally obsessed about. It could be the textural gooey-ooeyness of the oil in general, combined with the richness of the coconut flavor, but all of that skepticism goes out the door when it comes to coconut butter. How is it different from coconut oil, you ask? Well it uses the whole coconut. The texture is more solidified, a bit grittier, and definitely feels like something you could spread all over toast.. or maybe just eat by the spoonful? A delicious treat. If you're like me and have order anxiety waiting for the product when buying online, look for it in your grocery store where you would find the coconut oil or over by the nut butters! It's sure to be in one of those places. 


CORDYCEPS:

This adaptogen is a medicinal mushroom. As a mushroom, energetically, it's super grounding. When I think of it's ideal taker, 'the athlete' comes to mind. As a Lung Tonic in TCM, it can help to support the respiratory endurance of anyone who is doing physical work in their life. It has an effect on the capillary level, improving circulation and efficiency, to the benefit of athletes who are looking to improve their physical performance and build muscle. It's also known to be given to those recovering from surgery or birth - helping them physically heal, improve appetite. and protect body from infection.



SO LONG SUMMER SMOOTHIE BOWL

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Forager's Original cashew milk

1/2 cup frozen sweet potato

1/2 cup frozen peaches 

1/2 cup frozen cherries 

1/4 avocado

1 scoop Vega Sport vanilla plant-based protein powder

1 tbsp coconut butter

1 tsp chia seeds 

1/2 tsp Moon Juice Cordyceps

ice + water (to desired thickness)

TOPPINGS:  dried figs. chia seeds. Purely Elizabeth Original Granola

 

DIRECTIONS: 

  • add all ingredients to your blender + blend to desired thickness 
  • add ice or water to help achieve consistency you like
  • top with sliced, dried figs, chia seeds. and Purely Elizabeth Grain-Free Granola
